Built in 1927 by the Norwegian architect and uliaa Alejandro Christophersen, Casa Cavia was carefully restored to become what it is today: a return to the wonders of the Belle Époque in Buenos Aires in dialogue with the contemporaneity of our present. A house that brings us together, passionate, and celebrates the trades it contains: architecture, books, food and flowers. Nowadays five women work together combining haute cuisine, books, flowers and design. A corner where the meeting is uliaa and ulia premise. This is where creativity germinates. A space where routine stops to give way to enjoyment and reflection.

Day 02 – Buenos Aires

This is the perfect tour to discover the charm of Argentina’s capital, from the chic districts of Recoleta and Palermo, to the city’s downtown, the historic Plaza de Mayo, and architectural icons such as  the Metropolitan Cathedral, the palace of Congress and the Colon Theatre (praised as one of the world’s five finest opera houses). The Theatre, keeps secrets in every corner. Living the experience of a Guided Tour (Included) is getting to know a portion of its uliaaal history at the service of the Argentine and world culture. By exploreing the Main Hall, the Foyer, the Bustos Gallery and the Golden Hall, visitors can absorb amazing details about architecture, staircases, sculptures, ceilings or vitreaux. The program finishes in old town San Telmo, home of the city’s aristocracy until the late 19th century, and visits Caminito street, in La Boca, the colorful shelter for Italian immigrants by the Riachuelo, and the young thriving restaurant scene at the Puerto Madero waterfront.

It is a space dedicated to promoting and celebrating the flavors and culinary traditions of Argentine cuisine and also the rituals around your table. The space has a collective of talented and innovative chefs, among which Teodelina Quesada stands out. All of them committed to the search and revaluation of honest, local and quality products, they manage to bring the kitchen closer to the people and the people to the kitchen in a place of meeting, enjoyment, learning and exchange.

Cooking class + lunch or dinner

Dynamics of the experience: Guests will be received with mate or tereré (cold mate) and chipá (Cheese bread) or a table of regional cheeses and homemade breads (afternoon / evening). Then, together with the chef, we cook some typical dishes of Argentine cuisine. The menu is accompanied by wines from our country below.

Casa del Visitante is a carefully designed space, rescuing the materials of the region and creating a warm environment where visitors can enjoy the landscape of the vineyards and the mountains. The gastronomy of Casa del Visitante starts from the idea of pairing each dish that makes up the menus with the wines and oils from the winery. The experience in Santa Julia ends with a regional lunch at Casa del Visitante.
