8D/7N BUENOS AIRES, CALAFATE, IGUAZU

Description

This program proposes to visit three of the most characteristic destinations in Argentina!

  • Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital, invites us to enjoy of its attractions. The elegance of Recoleta and the Colon Theater, the history of La Boca and San Telmo, Mayo Square and the Government House, the modern Puerto Madero and the trendy Palermo, are the city most important places. Private city tours, cooking classes, dinner in a closed door restaurant, tango shows and other options, will let you discover the city in a unique way!
  • El Calafate, popularly called "Calafate", is a city located in the province of Santa Cruz, Argentina. It owes its notoriety for being the gateway to “Los Glaciares” National Park, which has tourist attractions such as the Perito Moreno Glacier and the Upsala Glacier between others. This small and very picturesque town of more than 8000 inhabitants, offers all the necessary – an ideal touristic infrastructure and a wonderful natural environment – for a very pleasant stay!
  • Finally, Iguazu! What qualifying adjective can one choose to describe Iguazú Falls? Unique, inexplicable, mighty, majestic, fresh, marvelous or giant may be right but still, these concepts are not wide enough to express what is in front of our eyes.

Through images and sounds, we try to capture part of that enchantment that we would like to keep till the last day in our lives!

NATIVO EXPERIENCE – Shared Tour & Private transfers with bilingual guide – Dinner included

Nativo Experience is an excursion along the shore of Lago Argentino. Ideal for the day of arrival or departure, it has an anthropological approach, taking a journey through time on the passage of man in these lands, rediscovering stories of the first expeditions and daring people who ventured into the unknown.

Between the cliffs and with views of the Andes Mountains, the excursion focuses on the first contacts of those expedition members with the natives, to later enter the Tehuelche world. On the shores of the lake are the caves where thousands of years ago that culture left its marks on the rock and which today introduce us to its interpretation.

Experience Schedule:

  • Our 4 × 4 vehicles pick you up at your hotel to begin a journey through the Patagonian steppe.
  • On the shores of Lake Argentino, our guides give a talk about the formation of the landscape of the place, about the native fauna and flora.
  • PUNTA BONITA CLIFF: We make an ascent to obtain an incredible panoramic image of the city and its surroundings. From there we appreciate the extension of Lago Argentino and the Andes Mountains.
  • ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE: We walk (500m) the archaeological site while we interpret the meaning of the cave paintings that we see on the rocks and the techniques used to make them.
  • FOOD IN THE CAVE: We finish the tour enjoying a delicious Patagonian food in an unforgettable location.

Day 05 – Calafate

The Perito Moreno Glacier rises majestically 80 km away from El Calafate. This is one of the largest and the only advancing glacier in the world, as well as the biggest attraction at Los Glaciares National Park, a 600,000-hectare protected area covered by an ice mantle. We will start by penetrating the Patagonic Andean forest and make a first breathtaking stop at “Curva de los Suspiros” (Curve of Sighs), where we will enjoy a first view of this incredible natural wonder. When we approach the glacier, we will walk down the catwalks to approach the Glacier and admire from different panoramic points this wonderful creation of Mother Nature. We will be able to contemplate very closely when varied-sized ice blocks loosen and fall into the water with a great thunder becoming beautiful ice floes in the deep waters of the Lago Argentino.
