You are about to start a new adventure, in the islands born of fire and titanic forces, where Darwin's insight changed forever the way we see the world today, a new concept in eco-adventure has evolved.

Day 1:  Santa Cruz Island

All flights to Galapagos start in Quito, but with an in between landing in Guayaquil to take more passengers. Flight time from Quito to Guayaquil is 40 minutes. There is a 40 minute transit time in Guayaquil. Flight time from Guayaquil to the islands is 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Your flight will arrive in the Galapagos at Baltra island Airport. Guides meet guests and take them to the Itabaca Channel for a seven minute ferry crossing to Santa Cruz Island, followed by a 50 minute scenic trip in private transport to Pikaia Lodge.
Check-in at the lodge.
Light lunch at Evolution Restaurant or on the Pool Terrace. Guests are given the chance to relax and familiarize themselves with the lodge environment and facilities. We recommend walking, jogging or cycling the 3.5km of trails within the boundaries, or a swim in the infinity pool. Try a workout in our GYM, or visit Sumaq for a massage, sauna, or whirlpool.
During the afternoon, a briefing will be held to review the weeks activities and special features about Pikaia Lodge and Galápagos. Additionally, after dinner a 3D HD documentary on Galapagos filmed by Sir David Attenborough will be shown in our Explorers Lounge for those interested in gathering some additional information about this unique place.

Day 2: Santa Cruz Island

Yatch Exploration

The yacht cruise is a full day program on board our exclusive PIKAIA I Yacht
6AM Continental Breakfast at Evolution
6.45AM board lodge transport for a 40 minute ride to port.
7.30AM: sailing departure.
Private cabins are assigned and full English breakfast served. On arrival at the island** the morning offers hiking, kayaking or snorkeling activities, until early afternoon.
A lunch buffet is served while the yacht sails to another island, for an afternoon of hiking, kayaking or snorkeling.
Two hours before sunset the yacht sets sail for home. While sailing, our guests can rest, shower, or freshen up in their air-conditioned private cabins, soak in the Jacuzzi, watch a Galapagos documentary, join a discussion with guides, sunbathe or watch for dolphins.
7PM: Guests return to the hotel for dinner.
** The 4 night exploration Package includes two full-day private yacht sailings to Bartolomé, Sullivan Bay, North Seymour islands, Bachas Beach on Santa Cruz Island during this week. Please click on an island for more information on its particular landscape, flora and fauna.

Day 3: Santa Cruz Island

Land Exploration

Each morning we plan exploration options based on satellite weather imagery, wildlife seasons and tides charts. Depending on climate conditions and the season, programs are designed to visit various beaches, volcanic craters, or lava tunnels; look for giant tortoises and endemic wildlife; visit the Charles Darwin Scientific Research Center at the National Park; or visit organic coffee farms in the highlands to see how settlers live. Activities such as kayaking, snorkeling, catch and release coastal fishing or cycling could be included.
7AM – 9.30AM breakfast
10AM – 1PM morning exploration program
1PM lunch at the hotel
3PM – 5.30PM afternoon exploration program

Day 4: Santa Cruz Island

Day 5: Santa Cruz Island

At 8.30 AM. Hotel check-out.
Transport to Baltra Island Airport and check-in for return flight to Guayaquil or Quito, assisted by Pikaia Lodge Guides.
